Dhaba Style Dal Fry

‪Dal Fry‬ is a popular Indian lentil recipe.This recipe uses Gram Dal, which is also known as Chana Dal. The dal is seasoned with variety of spices and it tastes delicious.The dal is pressure cooked first and added with tadka ingredients along with a mixture of onion,tomato ginger and garlic mixture and the dal is boiled for few mins which gives a great flavour.This is something you often find served at Indian restaurants and many Indian Dhabas.This Dal goes best with Roti/Jeera Rice..


            



Ingredients :-


  1. Chana Dal (Gram Lentil) - 1 cup
  2. Ghee - 2 tbsp
  3. Cinnamon Stick - 1
  4. Clove - 3-4 pieces
  5. Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
  6. Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
  7. Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
  8. Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
  9. Cumin Powder - 1 tsp
  10. Salt as needed
  11. Coriander Leaves (Chopped) for garnish
  12. Some fried onions for garnish

Ingredients to grind into a paste :-

  1. Oninons - 2
  2. Green Chillies - 2
  3. Ginger - 1 inch
  4. Garlic - 6 cloves
  5. Tomatoes (chopped) - 1/2 cup

Method :-


  1. Soak Chana Dal (Gram Lentil) for 1 hour.
  2. Pressure cook Dal by adding salt and turmeric powder.
  3. Dal should not over cook.
  4. In a pan heat ghee add cinnamon and cloves and saute for a minute. Now add the ground paste,red chill powder, coriander powder,cumin powder,garam masala powder and salt and saute very nicely till oil leaves.
  5. Add cooked Dal and cook for 4-5 mins in medium flame.
  6. Before serving sprinkle some fried onions and chopped coriander leaves.
  7. Serve hot with Jeera Rice/Roti.

Fresh Homemade Mango Frooti

Now say Bye-Bye to market Frooti.Why to buy from market when you can make your own at home with fresh mango pulp.Recipe is very very easy..Everyone must try this recipe.







Ingredients :-


  1. Gulabkhas Mango/Madrasi Mango - 1 kg
  2. Sugar - 250 grms
  3. Critic Acid - 1 tsp
  4. Water - 700 ml


Method :-

  1. Take out mango pulp and grind in mixer to make mangoo puree.Strain and keep aside.
  2. mix water,sugar and critic acid and give one boil.
  3. When cool mix mango puree and serve chilled..!!!!
  4. Adding water and ice as required.
  • You cannot store this frooti for long.Use withing 2-3 days.

Lemon Pudina(Mint) Delight

Well Summers are already here and i came with my very 1st Mocktail Recipe which is very Healthy and have lots of Benefits.It is a perfect Summer drink.We should have Pudina(Mint) in Summers to keep away the harmful effects of Sun.

Some Benefits of Pudina(Mint) Leaves are :-

Ingredients :-

  1. Powder Sugar/Sugar Syrup - 2 tbsp
  2. Roasted Cumin Powder - 1/8 tsp
  3. Chat Masala Powder - 1/4 tsp
  4. White Pepper Powder - 1/8 tsp
  5. Black Salt - 1/4 tsp
  6. Lemon Juice - 1.1/2 tsp
  7. Pudina(Mint) Leaves - 1/2 cup
  8. Crushed Ice - 1/2 cup
  9. Chilled Water - 1/2 cup

Method :-


Blend all the ingredients in a mixie,strain and serve in a transpent glass.Decorate with mint leaves and lemon slices.
