Homemade Baked Churros With Hot Chocolate Sauce

"These Mexican fritters are very common at fairs in Mexcio" A Churros is a Fried-Dough Pastry but here I made them in a very Healthy way instead of frying I Baked them..Churros are popular in Mexcio, Spain, Portugal, France the Philippines, Ibero-America and the SouthWestern United States..In Spain, Churros are normally eaten for Breakfast Dipped in Hot Chocolate, Dulce De Leche...!!!











Ingredients :-


For Churros :-

  1. Water - 1/2 cup
  2. Butter (Unsalted) - 1/4 cup
  3. Vanilla Essence - 1/2 tsp
  4. Brown Sugar - 1 tbsp
  5. Salt - 1/8 tsp
  6. All Purpose Flour - 1/2 cup
  7. Eggs - 2 (small)

For Coating :-

  1. Brown Sugar (Powdered) - 1/8 cup
  2. Salt - 1/8 tsp
  3. Cinnamon Powder - 1 tsp

For Hot Chocolate Dip :-

  1. Dark Chocolate (chopped) - 1/2 cup
  2. Milk - 1 cup
  3. Cornflour - 1 tsp (mixed with 2tsp of water)
  4. Vanilla Essence - 1/8 tsp
 
Method For Making Churros :-

  1. In a medium saucepan add butter, brown sugar, salt and water.Place over medium heat until butter is melted and mixture starts simmer.Now whisk the flour into the pan and mix until there is no lumps and a dough ball has formed.
  2. Now using spatula stir the dough around the pan and cook it for about 2-3 minutes on low heat and set aside to cool.
  3. In another bowl add eggs and vanilla essence and mix nicely.
  4. Now using your spatula add egg mixture into your dough little at a time.
  5. Stir and mash the dough, breaking up the dough until loosend. Stir well until eggs are nicely mixed and mixture has the appearance of mashed potatoes.
  6. Transfer the dough into the piping bag with star nozzle no.21 (noor brand).
  7. Pipe the dough into long churros or you can make heart shape on the baking tray leaving space of 2inch in between.
  8. Bake at pre-heated oven at 200 C for 25mins or until golden brown.
  9. Keep them for 10mins to dry. Keep aside.

Method For Coating :-

  1. Combine brown sugar, salt and cinnamon powder.
  2. Put this mixture in a ziplock bag.
  3. Toss the churros in this (while the churros are hot).
  4. Toss nicely until well covered.

Method For Making Hot Chocolate Sauce :-

  1. In a saucepan heat milk over medium heat.
  2. Now add chocolates and stir continuously until chocolate is melted.
  3. Add cornflour (mixed with water) and cook over medium heat ntil chocolate mixture begins to bubble. Reduce the heat and cook for 3-5mins until the sauce becomes thick.
  4. Remove from heat and stir vanilla essence into it.
Serve Hot Chocolate Sauce in a large cup  with Churros...!!! Enjoy...!!!!

Healthy Green Sauce Pasta

A healthy version of Pasta is here....Green Sauce is a Healthier Sauce for your Pasta,with lots of Vitamins from Spinach and plenty of Spicy Flavours from Green Chillies, Fresh Mint Leaves and Fresh Coriander Leaves..












 Ingredients For Base Sauce :-


  1. Fresh Mint Leaves - 2 tbsp
  2. Fresh Coriander Leaves - 1/2 cup
  3. Green Chillies - 1
  4. Milk - 2 tbsp
  5. Juice Of Lemon - 1


Other Ingredients :-


  1. Pasta of your choice (boiled) - 200 grms
  2. Fresh Spinach - 2 cups (finely chopped)
  3. Onions - 2 (finely chopped)
  4. Oil - 2 tbsp
  5. Garlic Paste - 1/2 tsp
  6. Cumin Powder - 1 tsp
  7. Red Chilli Flakes - 1 tsp
  8. Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
  9. Cumin Seeds - 1/4 tsp
  10. Fresh Cream (fresh malai) / Coconut Milk- 4 tbsp
  11. Water - 3/4 cup
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Fresh Coriander For Garnish


Method :-


  1. Make a paste of base sauce ingredients into a fine paste.
  2. Heat oil, add cumin seeds, let them splutter then add onions and fry until golden brown.
  3. Now add garlic paste and cook for 2 mins and then add spanich, turmeric powder,cumin powder and salt.
  4. Stir fry for 4-5mins until spanich begins to soften.
  5. At this stage add the base sauce paste and water.
  6. Cook on low heat for 5-7mins until the mixture is cooked nicely.
  7. Now add fresh cream / coconut milk, stir and sprinkle chilli flakes and adjust salt according to your taste.
  8. Simmer for 5mins and turn off the heat.
  9. Now add boiled pasta into the cooked green sauce and mix nicely.
  10. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
