Shakshuka is an Arabian Dish of eggs poached in a sauce of tomatoes,capsicum, and onions, often spiced with maggi masala.It's a simple dish loved by all egg lovers.Goes best with Bread\Chapaties.
Ingredients :-
- Onion - 1 (Finally Chopped)
- Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
- Capsicum (Green\Red\Yellow) - 1 (Cut into 1 inch square pieces)
- Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
- Cumin Powder - 1 tsp
- Maggi Magic Masala - 2 tbsp
- Pepper Powder - 1\2 tsp
- Sugar - 1 tsp
- Tomatoes (Chopped) - 4-5
- Tomato Puree - 3 tbsp
- Eggs - 5
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Chopped Coriander Leaves to Garnish
Method :-
- Heat oil in non-stick pan.
- Add chopped onions and saute for 2-3 mins and add garlic paste and cook for 1 min.
- Now add chopped Capsicum, any color (I used green color), saute it.
- Then add red chilli powder, cumin powder, maggi magic masala, pepper powder, sugar and salt and saute for 2-3 mins. Now add chopped tomatoes and tomato puree. Lower the heat and let it cook till the sauce thickens.
- Now make small wells with the help of spoon and break eggs carefully like you do for poach.
- Cover the pan and let it cook on slow heat till completely done. It took 8-10 mins.
- Switch off the gas and finally garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with Crisp Bread\Chapaties.
- You can also have this for Breakfast\Dinner.
